What l do think is that they wanted a celebration that reflected their own journey and experience. I'm not sure l buy into the idea that exclusion is what motivated the creation of Black Gay Pride. I just recently went to Madrid for there pride and I was shown more love and acceptance by them than I have in the states. It was because white gay America never included blacks in the administration nor The festivities.

This is the same reason why black gay pride was created in L.A in 1988 and passed on in many cities. Y'all can pretend to think that there is some racial harmony in the gay community down in Arlanta. Blakes themselves saw the racial tone in this dress code that's why they had to make a statement and apologize because they themselves could see how the list was a bit offensive. My other point was you would never see Bulldogs put up a dress code sign that would alienate a group of people. No I never said that they refuse blacks but they put up a dress code policy that surely indentifies with black people. Is there any policy prohibiting or even discouraging whites from going to Bulldogs or blacks from going to Blakes if they want to? No. But this is really just self selection of the customers themselves. Yes Blake's crowd is majority white while Bulldogs is majority black.
